Last week and (possibly the last talk I will do for the forseeable future due to the current situation - Covid-19), I was invited to share my story and business journey at The Assembly Rooms in Norwich.
It was a bustling room full of professional ladies from law firms including Steeles, Howes Percival and financial planners such as Loveday and Partners, to The Style Show and Jarrolds. However, due to Covid-19, you could see the numbers were more subdued than normal.
However, after a fine lunch supplied by The Assembly House, I took to the stage to share with the room my unusual story. It went incredibly well and I look forward to giving more talks after this has all blown over.
Please stay safe. Please also see the, Your Dream Shoes to Wear page for our Covid-19 promise to you.

Many know that I was originally trained as a professional actress and singer and the fluidity of the creative arts is very important to me.
I am thrilled to be raising awareness and singing for the Mudeka Foundation show. The foundation was established by Anna Mudeka and raises funds for orphaned children in Zimbabwe. As I too was an orphan, this is especially important to me.
I will be singing solos and alongside Soprano Emma Nuule.
Tickets are still available and the rehearsal was filmed by the BBC with Emma and I sitting on the BBC Look East couch this Friday prior to the show.
Photos are from yesterday's rehearsal.

Norfolk has a strong history in footwear manufacturing. in the late 1700s, James smith was one of the founding fathers of mass producing shoes when he realised that most people had similar sized feet. Creating lasts that could take away the small scale, bespoke creation. His grandson later branded the shoes as - Start-rite.
Spring forward several centuries and the 1930s saw the emergence of Van dal Shoes who also manufactured shoes in the city. However, we have now heard of the sad demise of one of the last remaining footwear factories in the country.
With this news, the BBC called me to chat about the future of British footwear and to visit me in my shop. The interview was aired on the Nick Conrad show yesterday and can be found on BBC iplayer at timescale 2:08:50 with the link https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p06g3c3x

Celebrating the high academic achievements of a select few in the class of 2017,I was honoured to not only give a speech about my journey, but also to hand out certificates to the students.
I was joined by Chris Lee of the RAF who gave a funny account of his military life.

Last night saw a host of NATWEST Great British Entrepreneur Finalists gather at the RBS head offices in London. Celebrating the finalists before the grand award's ceremony next moth. Meeting with some very inspiring businesses. The cocktails and stories were flowing everyone revved up about what brought them there in the first place. Reminding us all of the importance of being a unique entrepreneur.
