Milly J Shoes is just up the round from The UK'S oldest Hotel, the decadent, Maids Head Hotel. A hotel steeped in history and with a great award winning track record. With a similar ethos, Milly J Shoes is delighted to be working closely with the hotel.
Milly J Shoes can be seen in the grand foyer as well as a series of fun and engaging upcoming footwear workshops! The Maids Head has certainly looked after Milly J!

Milly J was visited in the shop and studio by University of East Anglia, International Development students. As part of their thesis, they research the changing social perspectives towards environmental issues, including recycling and landfill. How we start to do things in different ways, in which to help the implications. Is this a changing model in that we are more aware of what happens to our waste and is this a permanent change?
Here at Milly J Shoes, I am pushing the move for the public to bring in their old shoes in order to help reduce the footwear footprint. They in turn have their shoes revitalised and turned into a new design. Most of the UK's landfill is tranferred to China or Poland and this simply isn't economically sustainable! The footwear industry is one of the biggest culprits for poor landfill management.

We always have a great time exhibiting among various other fabulous bridal suppliers at the official, Bride Magazine Wedding Show. This is held twice a year at the Norfolk Showground with it being the largest wedding show in the area. Our themes were peacock blues and sea greens. The gorgeous flower girl dress was made by my partner's sister, Tara Martin - Miluca.

Many know that I was originally trained as a professional actress and singer and the fluidity of the creative arts is very important to me.
I am thrilled to be raising awareness and singing for the Mudeka Foundation show. The foundation was established by Anna Mudeka and raises funds for orphaned children in Zimbabwe. As I too was an orphan, this is especially important to me.
I will be singing solos and alongside Soprano Emma Nuule.
Tickets are still available and the rehearsal was filmed by the BBC with Emma and I sitting on the BBC Look East couch this Friday prior to the show.
Photos are from yesterday's rehearsal.

Matthew Gudgin - is one of the main BBC Norfolk Radio hosts, runs a Tuesday guest slot whereby the team choose an individual within Norfolk to be interviewed. The surprsing part is that all theguests have made contributuons to Norfolk life and have indeed had interesting lives thus far!
It is also considered to be the, "Desert Island Discs" of Norfolk. Choosing just 6 songs was a hard feat to achieve!
